Tech Note 48
In April of 2008, The Brick Industry Association released the 48th installment of its periodical, Technical Notes on Brick Construction. Known throughout the industry as “Tech Note 48,” this publication discusses in detail the concept of sustainability and brick. The publication set the standard for building green with brick.
Tech Note 48 thoroughly addresses concepts such as the definition of “sustainability,” the need for sustainable building design, sustainable design elements, environmentally responsive site planning, environmentally preferable materials and products, sustainable materials manufacturing, materials recycling, and green building rating systems.
